46 women in VSLAs socially and economically empowered to Participate in WASH business

With the efforts in reducing time for women  fetching water (more time to do other economic  activities), The importance of women’s empowerment cannot be overemphasized. However, economic empowerment is imperative in order to make women truly independent. In working towards achieving this , E-MAC under WASH and Learn 3.0 organized an intensive Liquid soap making workshop for the women of Ilkiding’a communities. The training transferred skills that would provide the women with an income-generating venture to enable them to make extra money to supplement household income and as a way of their inclusion in WASH Business.
