Commemoration of Menstrual Hygiene day in Kigoma

E-mac Tanzania and CEMDO are local partners to Simavi, a Dutch based INGO. The two are implementing WASH and Learn 3.0 programme in Tanzania at Arusha and Ifakara respectively. The programme invests at both implementation areas and seeks networks to increase the visibility of the project through engagement with other like-minded organizations. In this year, CEMDO and E-mac attended a national event to commemorate MH day in Kigoma.

The team launched the book at the MH event prepared by the Tanzania Menstrual Health and Hygiene Coalition in Kigoma on the 28th of May 2022. The target was to involve key stakeholders and decision-makers who were present at the event. The launching event was observed by Mama Mbonipaye Mpango, wife of the vice president.

 

Present at the event were government officials such as the permanent secretary of the ministry of health, Kigoma regional commissioner just to name a few.  Local and international NGOs also attended the event. The team took initiatives to identify potential individuals and organizations to either promote or buy the comic book.
