The E-mac team travelled to Simanjiro on Thursday last week to conduct a training session with 30 schoolgirls currently in class five to seven. The project which the session was conducted in is supported by a grant from ViiV Healthcare positive action. The main focus area of the training session was on SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), including topics such as early marriages, menstrual hygiene and management, early and unwanted pregnancies and modern contraceptives. The aim with the session was to create awareness of the highlighted topics as well as increasing knowledge regarding SRHR in general.
