More man power increases in the fight against FGM in Simanjiro district

Most of nomadic communities in Tanzania diminish child rights especially young girls through FGM which results to early marriages and early pregnancy. On the effort to address this E-MAC under VOICE support has been able to train 20 peer educators from five villages in Simanjiro. The training based on creating awareness on child rights, and addressed all issues concerning health and F GM.Strategies to report FGM incidences were set and Alternative Rite of Passage (ARP) was introduced as a means to transform a girl  from childhood to women.
